Marquee Monday: Beach Body On Demand

Its MARQUEE MONDAY and today we are highlighting Beach Body On Demand (BBD). I know, I know- its been a while since I have posted. But I am a full time school teacher and as many know... school is back in session! It has gotten really busy on that end and that is how BBD has come into play.

About three years ago I joined BBD on a whim because of the great price ($99/ year) and amount of product received. BBD gives you access to all Beach Body workouts ever created. I once read someone describe BBD as the " Netflix" of fitness workouts. 😂 Initially, when I subscribed to BBD, I had goals of losing weight and having a variety of workouts- of which it delivers. But at the time I had a lot of personal issues going on, so I wasn't as consistent as I aimed to be.

After about two years of doing BBD on and off last year- BBD and I connected with the 80 Day Obsession workout series. I wasn't working full time at the time and needed to do something for my high stress level and depression I was dealing with. I did the “ A Little Obsessed” series first and was hooked. Then I started 80 Day and became literally " obsessed" with the results. I have never been into lifting heavy weights because I had the misconception in mind that I would bulk up. This is not true for me! I was actually getting leaner and a little bulk in the right places (Hello Peach Bootie!).

Before I had BBD I had purchased many of the workouts such as Hip Hop Abs, Piyo, Turbo Fire to name a few. My interest in fitness has been a part of my life. 😁Those workouts are on BBD along with over 700 workouts to choose from. You can never get bored and BBD speaks to all interests.Get this - they have Country Music theme workouts and workouts in Spanish. You can access BBD anywhere you have internet access ,so it travels well too.

Since I am a Pure Barre Babe for life I supplement with BBD when I cannot make it to the studio,  feel like adding an extra workout or my busy teacher schedule calls for a quick at home workout.

Currently I am doing the Morning Meltdown 100 workout on BBD. This workout is no more than 30 minutes a day and has 100 different workouts! I think it would be excellent for a beginner who wants personal trainer results without the price!

Now let's get into the rundown in the F.A.S.T. rating system ( F- Fun/ A- Accessibility/ S- Skill/ T- Time):

Fun- The variety of workouts available meets all interest. There are Hip Hop Dance workouts and Military themed workouts. What ever your definition of fun is- BBD has an answer!

Accessibility- All access, all the time via the Internet. That means you can do workouts on your phone. I once did a workout during one of my breaks at work. And the price is unbeatable, $99 for a year! It's a steal! There are props you can buy directly from BBD or you may be able to get them for a more affordable price on Amazon.com.

Skill- All skill levels are welcomed. And a bonus is every member is given a coach who can suggest workouts for you, meal plans and encourage you through whatever your goal may be.

Time- Workout times vary but it seems as though most workouts are between 20-30 minutes. There are ones that are longer depending on the workout series.

If you have fitness goals BBD is a great investment in yourself. Try it out and let me know what you think in the comments below.
